Hydraulic Hoses

On October 7th a crane carrying a 13,000 lbs load got stuck in midtown Manhattan, resulting in the street closing. The crane's block was stuck 400 ft above the ground on West 57th Street. The cause of the issue was cited as a “hydraulics issue”.
When dealing with hydraulics it is imperative that the system is operating as it should. More often than not, hydraulic hoses can be the cause of most problems. This is either due to inferior hoses, or the failed maintenance of the hoses. Either of these cases could lead to the hoses leaking hydraulic fluid or detaching from their fittings. Hydraulic hoses are used in many applications from automobiles to heavy equipment. Ensuring that you use high-quality, well maintained hoses is essential to preventing down time with your machinery.
