Hydraulic Hose Shop

If your industrial plant involves the transfer of products such as fluid and dry bulk from one part to the other, you will be using hoses and hydraulics to run the processes. Given that not all processes across different industries are the same, you will require a reliable source of your accessories to avoid downtime at your plant.

Hydraulic Hose Shop
Most hydraulic hose shops distribute tubing, industrial hoses, clamps, bands, hydraulics, coupler, and connectors. Many others custom fabricate the accessories as per the applications for your industry. Other hose shops also have a complement of pumps, cylinders, motors, drives and other custom units. The Hose Shop has been deemed a “one stop shop” since the eighties when we first opened. As a hydraulic hose shop we know just what you may need and will be happy to assist you.

Selecting a hydraulic hose shop
As a company, seek a hydraulic hose shop that you can work with as partners and not as a one-off purchase. Building a relationship helps in getting better prices and preferable credit terms in the end.

Start by evaluation the kind of products sold by the shop. Not only should the products be specific to your need, but they should also be of the highest quality. This will prevent expensive replacements and leaks during the process. We can assure you that at The Hose Shop we only sell quality items that we can be sure are built to last.

Moreover, seek a hydraulics shop that also does repairs. Not all accessories will need replacement. Sometimes the cylinders and pressure accessories just require repair to get them working again. Hydraulic shops that also do on-site repairs provide the convenience of having the equipment, especially large ones repaired on site.

Sometimes you need a qualified technician to assemble the hoses and other accessories. Find out if the hose shop also offers custom hose assembly services. During the maintenance, you would also want to ensure whether the hoses are in their right condition for the fluids running through them. Seek the services of hose testing and certification too.

At The Hose Shop we want to insure great services at fair prices, so we won’t overcharge you like other companies might. We are highly qualified in our field and work to make every penny of our services and products worth it. For your sake, we don’t want you to seek from unqualified individuals just to save money. Such a decision may lead to the loss of cash in untimely replacements and recurrent need for repairs. Quality hydraulic systems ensure smooth running and fewer maintenance costs.

Snow Plow Cylinders in NJ

Are you looking for snow plow cylinders in NJ? At The Hose Shop, we have a vast inventory of hydraulic hoses and hydraulic hose accessories for your snow plow cylinders. Our expert staff can provide you with same day service for an affordable price.

When winter comes and snow begins falling, the last thing you need is a malfunctioning snowplow. It’s important to understand the parts of your snowplow, including how they work and when they might need to be replaced. The snowplow cylinder is a crucial part of keeping your snowplow in working order.

There are a few different types of cylinders on a snowplow. Hydraulic cylinders allow you to easily lift heavy objects, and are found on many different types of equipment. Angle cylinders control the left and right movements of your snowplow, and the lift cylinder raises the snowplow off the ground. When you’re transporting your snowplow, the hydraulic cylinder also helps limit the movement of the blades.

How does a hydraulic cylinder allow the snowplow to be lifted and operated? A hydraulic cylinder is filled partly with hydraulic fluid, and pistons of different size operate in the remaining space. When force is applied, fluid is pushed from the smaller piston into the bigger piston, moving it and transferring the force, allowing the object to be lifted. The larger the cylinder, the bigger the object that can be lifted.

While cylinders are relatively simple in function, they have a variety of moving parts, so it’s important to keep them lubricated and in working order.  When do your snowplow cylinders in NJ need to be replaced? A decrease in efficiency or the presence of leaks can be an indication that something is malfunctioning. If the cylinder needs to be replaced, you’ll need to obtain the model number or carefully measure the cylinder’s parts and ports in order to ensure that our hose experts can help you get the right replacement cylinder.

With such a crucial function, it’s imperative that your snowplow cylinder is functioning properly. As you can imagine, if your cylinders aren’t working properly, your snowplow won’t work well either.

For more information about snow plow cylinders in NJ or any of our other hose services, call The Hose Shop today and one of our hose experts will be happy to help you.

Hydraulic Hoses

Are you looking for hydraulic hoses? The Hose Shop has been "The One Stop Shop" for your hydraulic hose needs for over 30 years. With our vast selection of hose products and our extensive inventory, our knowledgeable and experienced staff will work with you to find you what you need.

Hydraulic hoses are made to convey hydraulic fluids to other parts of a hydraulic system, and are used in a wide variety of industrial hydraulic systems. The flexibility of a hydraulic hose facilitates other components to be placed in a manner that allows efficiency and effectiveness.

Selection of a proper hydraulic hose for an application should be based on a few factors.

Size
It is essential to measure the inside and the outside diameters of a hose and the length of the tube. The hydraulic hose OD is also important when you are using hose-support clamps or the hoses are routed through a bulkhead. You should check the individual specifications tables for the ODs in the suppliers’ catalog. When you want to replace a hose assembly, always remember that the new hose should be cut to the same the length as the old one.

Application
Can the selected hydraulic hoses meet the required bend radius? The bend radius, in this case, is the minimum bend radius in inches that a hydraulic hose must match. If the bend radius is exceeded, it results to injuring the hose reinforcement and reduces its durability.

Materials
The material used in a hydraulic system determines the material of the hose that is to be used. Therefore, it is required that you should check the compatibility chart to ensure that the hose compound is compatible with the liquid used in the system. High temperatures, concentration, and fluid contamination affect the chemical compatibility of a hydraulic hose and fluid. Note that, some of the newly invented biodegradable fluids may affect some hydraulic hoses.

Pressure Capabilities
The hydraulic hoses working pressure should always be selected in a manner that it exceeds or is equal to the maximum pressure in the system, including the pressure spikes. If the pressure spikes exceed the published working pressure, they significantly reduce the hose life.

Temperature
Hydraulic hoses are rated with a maximum working temperature that ranges from 200 degrees to 300 degrees fahrenheit. This is usually based on the fluid temperature. If the tubes are exposed to continuous high temperatures, they lose their flexibility. Also, failure to use hydraulic lubricants that have the proper viscosity to hold up during high temperatures accelerates the problem of flexibility. To avoid this, you should always follow the manufacturer’s recommendations.

Hose Ends
When selecting a hydraulic hose, the hose selected must be compatible with the coupling-to-hose mechanical interface. The appropriate coupling thread must be chosen to give a leak-free sealing. There are two categories of coupling; permanent and attachable.

While there exist many manufacturers and varying qualities of hydraulic hose, our expert hose specialists at The Hose Shop have the knowledge and training to help you find the right hydraulic hose for your job.
